Saori - Eri Silk & Everyday Luxury
Everyday Luxury
Introducing Saori, a limited edition festive silk collection that merges comfort with your personal style. Inspired by the stripes of traditional saori weaving from Japan, this collection invites you to live each day in clothing that feels special, without sacrificing comfort. At Manan, we believe that simple clothing can be imbued with profound meaning. And in each piece of this collection, handwoven stripes and intricate block prints come together to create one of our most experimental fabrics to date. The silhouettes are designed to be large, loose, and clean, allowing for effortless layering and versatility. Kurta sets, co-ords, shirts, dresses and overlays are suited to all sorts of days, whether you’re dressing up for a special occasion or enjoying a casual day out.
Saori is crafted for the modern Indian woman with a global outlook; someone who appreciates the beauty of natural fabrics and values comfort in every aspect of her life. This collection resonates with the global traveler who is independent, social, and spontaneous. She knows what she likes and embraces her individuality with confidence. From casual brunches to formal gatherings, Saori pieces transition seamlessly through various themes and settings. The vibrant peacock tones, subtle greys and dusty pinks offer options that cater to every mood and event, and are ultra-comfortable against your skin.
Unique
Craftsmanship
Saori is set apart by the meticulous craftsmanship behind each garment. Every piece is made from one of two distinct silks – eri and habutai. Eri silk is known for its texture and sustainability. Also referred to as ahimsa silk, it is derived from empty cocoons after the caterpillars have left it, making it an ethical choice for conscious consumers. Our artisans employ traditional techniques with this material to create irregular stripe weaves instead of uniform widths, adding a rustic charm to each garment. Hand embroidery is then used to create intricate designs that merge east European and Persian Mughal floral motifs.

Sustainability At Heart
In addition to their aesthetic appeal, the garments are crafted with sustainability in mind. By utilising eri silk and handloom production, we prioritise eco-friendly practices throughout our production process. Our commitment to minimising fabric waste contributes to a more sustainable fashion industry. And at the heart of it all is longevity; each garment is designed to last for years, making it not just a purchase but a timeless investment.
Style It Your Way
One of the joys of the Saori collection is its versatility; and the pieces stand out while still being easy to style. Here are some ideas to help you create new looks:
- Co-ord Sets:Create effortless co-ord sets by pairing matching pieces from the collection for a polished look that’s perfect for any place and time. Pair habutai silk with eri for an eye-catching look.
- Layering:Mix and match individual pieces with existing wardrobe staples. A Saori shirt or kurta can be paired with your favorite jeans or worn over trousers for work.
- Accessories:Use jewellery, belts and bags in different materials to add finishing touches that enhance your look.
